Mahavir Jayanti 2022: Mahavir, the Jain religion’s 24th Tirthankara, is known as the reformer of the Jain monastic community. He left his home at the age of 30 in search of spiritual awareness and salvation, having been born into a noble Jain family in Bihar. Mahavira is said to have been born in 599 BCE on the thirteenth day of Shukla Paksha in the month of Chaitra, according to devotees.

The teachings of Swami Mahavira were collected into 12 scriptures, but they were destroyed during the Magadha famine in 300 BCE. The majority of Mahavira’s teachings are incomplete, therefore Svetambara and Digambara Jain constructed a somewhat different interpretation.
Mahavira believed in the existence of souls. According to him, there is no beginning or end to existence, and the cycle of birth and death continues indefinitely. Depending on the deeds he or she conducts in this life, each individual will be born in the form of a human, an animal, an element, or any other form.
