It was for sure that at that time, neither he was aware of the Satyanarayan story nor was he into worshipping. After declining the prasad, he returned to his rajya, but when he reached there, he saw that another king had attacked his kingdom and had destroyed everything.

When he saw that situation, he was devastated and then remembered that it had happened as he declined the prasad and respect of the people who were worshipping God. He regretted the situation and then immediately went to the same place and asked for the prasad. After having the prasad and asking for forgiveness, he returned to his kingdom. This time, everything was back to normal. The King was very happy!
