1. Masik Kalashtami Story

Kal Bhairav is a form of Lord Shiva. Once, there was a day when Lord Brahma and Lord Vishnu had a heated argument about who was the greatest among the people. At that very moment, a fire Linga appeared in front of them. 

Both the Gods were trying to see the end of the Linga, and suddenly, Lord Brahma said he could see it, and Lord Vishnu accepted his defeat. At that moment, Lord Shiva appeared before them and asked Lord Bharma not to lie. 

Lord Brahma was upset but didn’t realise what he had done. He then insulted Lord Shiva. This upset Lord Shiva, who couldn’t resist creating Kaal Bhairav to punish Lord Brahma. 

Lord Kaal Bhairav cut the fifth head of Lord Brahma, which made Lord Brahma realize his mistakes about lying. Lord Brahma then asked for forgiveness from Lord Shiva, and Bholenath forgave him and left. 

Afterwards, Lord Brahma also asked Lord Vishnu for forgiveness, and both of them resolved their fight. It helped them gain knowledge and left their pride and ego.
