• When both bride and groom have the same moon sign, it is considered the best match, according to this Koot. And hence, the score given to such a couple is 5.

• When one individual’s lord has friendly relations, and the other one has neutral relations. So, in such a situation, the score given to the couple is 4. This is also a good score.

• Lords of both the bride and groom have neutral relations, so in such a situation, the Graha Maitri Koot score given is 3. However, the score is medium.
• If one individual’s planetary lord has neutral relations and the other one is an enemy, then, in this situation, the score given to the couple is 0.5. This score is low, so challenges may arise between the couple.
• If both the bride and groom’s planetary lord have an enemy relationship with each other, then in such a situation, the Graha Maitri Koot score given is 0 out of 5.  This is also a low score, so the compatibility between the couples is extremely low.

When the Graha Maitri Koot score is less than 3, it is considered Grah Maitri Dosha. The bride and groom may face hurdles in married life due to low mental compatibility, such as frequent fights and disagreements between the couple. 

1. Reduction Of Effects

• If the Moon of the couple’s kundli conjuncts with planets that are friendly, the dosha’s ill effects are reduced.
• Also, if the Moon of the couple’s kundli is influenced by the same planet, the dosha’s effects tend to get reduced. 

2. Removal Of Effects 

• The negative effects of this Dosh get cancelled when the Moon in the couple’s kundli has the same conjunction planet. 
• Also, the effects of this dosha are cancelled when the couple has a good Bhakoot score. This is another Koot that analyses the compatibility of the couple.
