When a father met his son for the first time
Let us first get to know where Lord Hanuman first met his son. People consider this meeting to be divine. The story takes place when Lord Ram and Lakshman were once kidnapped by Ahiravana and taken to the patal. A fish consumed a droplet of his sweat while taking a dip in the water. The fish was a “Makara” — fish-like reptile. The fish became pregnant and was caught by the men of Ahiravana. When the fish was cut open, it had a child inside, half monkey-like and half reptile. He was given the name Makardhwaja. Seeing his strength and force, Ahiravana appointed him as the guardian of the patal.
The father-son confrontation
After getting to know about this information, Lord Hanuman went into dhyan and found out the story of Makardhwaja. Lord Hanuman wanted to save Lord Ram and Lakshman but was stopped by Makardhwaja. He said that he was his son and was loyal to his master. Just like Lord Hanuman would never betray Lord Ram, Makardhwaja would never betray his master, Ahiravana. Lord Hanuman was proud of his son and respected his opinion. They both went into a physical confrontation, and the fight was long.
