  • After the purification, offer water to Surya Dev(Lord Sun). While offering the water, you can chant some Lord Surya Mantra.
  • Now comes the most important ritual of Mauni Amavasya: taking the vow of silence. But first, meditate by remembering Lord Hari, aka Lord Vishnu. 
  • Next, the devotee has to keep silent and meditate to seek the blessings of Lord Vishnu and Lord Shiva until the completion of the fast.
