About Bhagwad Purana:
Hindu mythology has been science-based and true to its core from the very beginning. The Bhagwad Purana was written almost 5,000 years ago. It has accurately depicted the modern man’s life, his sins, desires, methods, and everything. The Bhagwad Purana had distributed the entire human life into four Yugas: the Satya Yuga, the Treta Yuga, the Dwapar Yuga, and the Kaliyuga.
Our great Lords themselves have taken the human form and have lived in some of these Yugas. It is a common belief that these Yugas represent the transformation of the human and how, with passing time, the human will lose the sense of truth and righteousness and how evil and dishonesty will take over their minds.
Let’s look at some of the predictions made in the Bhagwad Geeta that have come true today.

“sri-suka uvaca

It states that the cleanliness and purity of the soul of humans will decrease with each passing day. It also says that the physical attributes of strength and memory of a human will also diminish. The modern human will lack mercy. His tolerance, along with his life span, will also decrease.

It states that wealth will be the only deciding factor in Kalyug and will judge one’s behaviour and qualities on the amount of money. The person with wealth will be able to modify and readjust the provisions of law and justice with his power alone.

“na rakshishyanti manujah
sthavirau pitarav api”
It states that the human will no longer protect and care for his elderly parents. He will leave them alone and have no empathy for them. He will forget all the pain and misery they had gone through for him.
“Kalau kakinike py arthe
Vigrihya tyakta-sauhridah
Tyakshyanti ca priyan pranan
Hanishvanti svakan api”
The Kalyug man will not shy away from killing his relatives or even himself just for a few amounts of money. Instead, he will take up the fight with his fellow humans and develop hatred with them over even small amounts of money and wealth.
All these predictions and many others have certainly become true in today’s time. We often see children abandoning their parents and theft and robbery, even murder, for money and wealth. There has also been a lack of divinity and humbleness amongst fellow human beings. But all is not lost as it is upon ourselves to be the change in the world we want to see. There are still many religious, courteous and kind from the heart who are willing to help others even at a personal expense. The teachings of the Bhagwad Gita should be incorporated into our daily lives, and we will see positive results in our mindset soon. We all can and will become better.
