Dasa Mahavidya Mantra represents the ten forms of Goddess Parvati, symbolising supreme knowledge or Siddhi. Chanting their mantras brings great self-awareness and is said to make an individual powerful enough to handle any situation.
The Dasa Mahavidya Mantra is highly regarded in Hindu spiritual texts where Dasa means “ten” and “Mahavidya” means “supreme knowledge”. Depending on their nature, these 10 mantras are classified into three categories:

Always start with the Das Mahavidya Beej mantra for each Mahavidya. For Maa Kali, it is as follows -

Meaning: Bow down to Kali, the goddess of time and transformation
Maa Tara, also called Tarini, comes second in the list of Mahavidya. Chanting the Tara Mantra is considered to have a similar impact to that of Kali Mantra. This Das Mahavidya mantra brings Jupiter’s favour, offering intellect and child protection.
Chant this in the North direction. The Tara Das Mahavidya Beej mantra is as follows -
ॐ ह्रीं त्रीं ह्रुं फट्॥
Om Hreem Treem Hum Phat॥
Meaning: Bow down to Maa Tara, the goddess of progress and moksha.
Maa Shodashi, also known as the Tantric form of Maa Tripura Sundari, represents the Mahavidya of beauty and motivates to focus on the beauty of the soul instead of physical appearance. Chanting her mantra gives you the power to improve the world.
Chant this in the Northeast direction. The Shadoshi 10 Mahavidya Beej mantra is as follows -
ॐ ऐं ह्रीं श्रीं त्रिपुर सुन्दर्यै नमः II
Om Aim Hreem Shreem Tripura Sundriyai Namah II
Meaning: Surrender to Maa Tripura Sundari, the goddess of beauty.

Chant this in the West direction. The Bhuvaneshwari 10 Mahavidya Beej mantra is -
ह्नीं भुवनेश्वरीयै ह्नीं नमः II
Hnim Bhuvaneshwari Hnim Namah II
Meaning: I bow down to Maa Bhuvaneshwar, the goddess of the world.
Maa Bhairavi represents the terror aspect (Chandi form) of Goddess Paravati, similar to Maa Kali. Chanting her mantra is believed to keep away bad energies and physical weakness. People also recite them for a beautiful spouse and a good married life.
Chant this in the South direction. The Bhairavi Das Mahavidya Beej mantra is -
ॐ ह्रीं भैरवी कलौं ह्रीं स्वाहा॥
Om Hreem Bhairavi Kalaum Hreem Svaha
Meaning: Bow down to the fierce form of Parvati, the goddess of timeless power.
Maa Chhinnamasta is another Ugra form of Mahavidya and is considered terrifying and powerful. Sadhus use this mantra in Tantra Sadhna. Chant this mantra if you have weak Rahu in your birth chart, to fight off its ill effects.
Chant this in the East direction. The Chhinnamasta Das Mahavidya Beej mantra is -
ॐ श्रीं ह्रीं ह्रीं क्लीं ऐं वज्र वैरोचिनीयै ह्रीं ह्रीं फट् स्वाहा ॥
Om Shri Hreem Hreem Kleem Aim Vajra Vairochiniyai Hreem Hreem Phat Swaha ॥
Meaning: I bow down to goddess Chhinnamasta, the lightning power behind Lord Indra’s Vajra or weapon.
