The Seven Saptrishis of Gotra Lineage
The Saptrishis or Seven Great Sages are the mind-born sons of Lord Brahma. They preserved and taught the Vedas to others. Later, these Saptrisihs became the ancestors of various gotras and are also linked to the Ursa Major constellation.
- Atri: Atri is one of the seven great sages, known as Saptrishis in Hindu tradition. He was the son of Lord Brahma and was married to Mata Anasuya.
- Bharadwaja: Sage Bharadwaja was the son of Brihaspati, the guru of the Gods. He is known for his contribution to the Vedas, Ayurveda and science.
