Lal Kitab Debt

An extraordinary branch of Vedic Astrology, Lal Kitab is a collection of five books written between 193-1952 by Pandit Roop Chand Joshi. As per Vedic Astrology, every quote is considered a permanent master planet in Lal Kitab. All Lal Kitab calculations are based on this. This branch of astrology takes account of the present and the previous life's Karma to calculate the effect of planets on the native's life. It is believed that our unpaid Rinas or debts of the past life are carried forward in our next birth. If you want to know how much debt or Rina is in your chart, enter your details in our Red Book Debt Calculator.

What are the features of Lal Kitab?

  • It is seen that Lal Kitab Astrology is quite different from Vedic Astrology. For example, in Vedic Astrology, the Lagna has the highest regard with the amount raised on the eastern horizon during the time of birth as the Lagna Bhaaw. But in Lal Kitab, it is different. The Bhaaw of the Kundali remains constant as Kaal Purush Kundali.
  • It is seen that the First House or Lagna, as per Lal Kitab, is written in Aries. Therefore, the remaining Houses will have their corresponding Signs.
  • The Lal Kitab planetary combinations are different to Vedic Astrology planetary combinations.

What is a Pakka Ghar in Lal Kitab Astrology?

  • In Vedic Astrology, each House has its fixed nature and position, but in Lal Kitab, that is not the case.
  • In the Kaal Purush Kundali, Aries is placed in the First House, followed by the remaining signs with Pisces in the Twelfth House.
  • As the ruling planet of Aries is Mangal or Mars, the Pakka Ghar of Mars is considered the First House.
  • Similarly, the Fourth House of the Moon is the permanent place of the Moon.

What are the different types of Debts as per Lal Kitab?

The effect of promising and inauspicious planets depends entirely on the acts of the previous birth. Often wrong deeds and curses given by someone create debts in an individual's life. According to Lal Kitab or Red Book, debt is the unpaid karmic dues of the previous birth. Here are the many forms of debt according to Lal Kitab's predictions:

  • Pitru Rina or Debt of Father: According to Lal Kitab, when Venus, Mercury or Rahu, or their combination are placed in the Second, Fifth, Ninth, or Twelfth House, the person has Pitru Rina in their chart. Natives will face loss in wealth and various sufferings.
  • Matru Rina or Debt of Mother:When Ketu exists in the Fourth House, the Moon is negatively affected. These planetary combinations result in the Matru Rina. Sufferers will experience monetary losses, diseases, and debts.
  • Stree Rina or Debt of Woman:When the Sun, Moon, or Rahu or their conjunction is present in the Second or Seventh House, the person suffers from many kinds of crisis.
  • Bhratru or Sambandhi Rina or Debt of Brother or Relative:When Mercury or Venus is located in the First or Eighth House, then the individual will be adversely affected in their life.
  • Bahin or Putri Rina or Debt of Sister or Daughter:When Mercury is placed in the Third or Sixth House, the person will suffer due to hostility from people around them.
  • Nirdayi Rina or Debt of Cruelty:When the Sun, Moon, or Mars or their combinations are in the Tenth or Twelfth House, it affects the native and everyone in their family.
  • Ajanma Rina or Debt of the unborn:When the Sun, Venus or Mars are in the Twelfth House, this debt causes the person to end up in jail.
  • Swa Rina or Debt of Own:When Venus, Saturn, Rahu or Ketu or their conjunctions are placed in the Fifth House, then the person faces struggles throughout life.
  • Daiviya Rina or Debt of Divine:When the Moon or Mars is situated in the Sixth House, the person, along with their family, has to face many problems in life. They face loss in wealth, an increase in expenses, and betrayal from loved ones.
