Moreover, many people observe\u00a0a fast on this day, known as the\u00a0<\/span>Aswath Pradakshina Vrat<\/span><\/strong>, which is highly auspicious<\/span><\/span>. Also, p<\/span>erforming rituals under the Peepal Tree will grant the blessings of Lord Vishnu.<\/span><\/p>\n

An old Brahmin man lived who could not marry off his daughter despite her being a kind and beautiful young girl. Once, a sage visited the Brahmin. The sage told him that his daughter had a negative dosha that was getting in the way of her marriage. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Thus, the sage suggested that the Brahmin’s daughter serve the washerwoman Sona<\/span>. <\/span><\/span>Agreeing with Sage’s words, the girl used to wake up early in the morning while everyone was asleep, sneak into Sona\u2019s house, and do all the household chores as suggested by the sage. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Furthermore, while Sona and her daughter-in-law used to wake up, all the household chores were already done. <\/span>They got confused and tried to investigate this matter. One day, they discovered the girl and asked her why she was doing all the household chores. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Sona rewarded the girl’s dedication by applying vermillion on her forehead after the girl explained her problems. As soon as Sona does this, her injured husband dies. <\/span><\/p>\n

Leaving the girl and her daughter-in-law at home, she went to look for a peepal tree but had nothing to offer. She picked up a brick and took 108 rounds around the peepal tree, praying for her husband. Lord Shiva and Vishnu, delighted by the devotees, bring Sona\u2019s husband back to life as a blessing for her immense devotion.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
