Must-Dos Before a Grih Pravesh

• Set foot into a complete house

All windows, doors, etc., must be entirely constructed before entering.

• Break a coconut

Before entering, always remember to break a coconut first at the doorstep. 

• The correct foot

While entering for the first time, always stick out your right foot and then come into your own space.

• Purification of the house

The house should be purified with holy water sprinkled using mango leaves. 

• The Milk!

Boil the milk during the daytime on the ceremony day to avoid any ill omens ruining the entire thing for you. 

• The health of the family members

Conduct the puja only when the members of the family are hail and hearty. 

• Post puja care!

Make sure that after performing the puja, the house is not left empty for at least three days.
