In honour of the legendary Lord Mahabali, this event is held throughout Kerala. During this day, people revere the deities hoping that Mahabali’s soul will come to Kerala to commemorate the Onam festival and protect the land.
In 2022, Onam celebrations will begin on August 30 and end on September 8, with ongoing festivities for ten days.
