On Dhanteras, light oil, ghee lamps, or diyas in and around your home. It is believed that the light of these lamps guides Goddess Lakshmi to your doorstep.
Offering food or clothes to the less fortunate on Dhanteras is considered humanitarian and noble. So, donate clothes, food, or money to those in need to ensure blessings from Goddess Lakshmi.
On Dhanteras, try to maintain a positive and cheerful mindset. Avoid negative thoughts, arguments, and conflicts, as they can decrease the positive energy flow.
Do not use broken items in your home. Keeping broken items is believed to delay the flow of positive energy and wealth in your home.
Mix turmeric powder and rice powder with water to make a paste. Use the paste to draw the symbol of “Om” on the front door during Dhanteras puja on Trayodashi Tithi.
It is recommended to chant the Mantra 11 times on Dhanteras day during the Abhijeet Muhurat. Before chanting, it is important to worship Goddess Lakshmi and God Vishnu.
